Wavin Italia awards the winners of the "Design with Wavin"competition dedicated to sustainability and comfort.
Wavin Italia has announced the winners of the second edition of the “Design sustainability and environmental comfort with Wavin” competition , an initiative aimed at designers with the aim of promoting innovative solutions in the construction and plant engineering sectors.
The awards ceremony took place at the Wavin Academy, a training and development center for professionals, where the projects selected for their design quality, sustainability, and energy efficiency were presented.
The winning projects
Three projects stood out in the second edition of the competition, expressing different approaches but united by a focus on environmental comfort and technological innovation.
- The first place winner is Studio AEC of Reggio Calabria , with a project dedicated to an industrial plant for the processing of essential oils, characterised by advanced integration between radiant systems, controlled mechanical ventilation and water management.
- Enthal Studio (Treviso) came in second place with a residential energy requalification project that successfully combined high performance with architectural constraints.
- Studio Altralinea (Castel Madama, Rome) closes the podium with a project for a nearly zero-energy (NZEB) nursery school, developed with particular attention to indoor well-being and sustainability.
Innovation and sustainability at the heart of the project
The award-winning works highlighted the increasingly central role of building technologies in improving indoor comfort and reducing the environmental impact of buildings.
The competition involved designers developing solutions that integrate radiant systems, controlled mechanical ventilation, and efficient water management, confirming the industry's growing focus on sustainable, high-performance buildings.
The initiative is part of Wavin's journey to promote a design culture geared towards innovation and sustainability, supporting professionals and operators in the development of increasingly efficient and comfortable buildings.
