Wavin Italia among the 100 "Best Performers"in the Upper and Middle Polesine area.

The awards ceremony for the 100 best companies in the Upper and Middle Polesine area was held recently at the Teatro Sociale Eugenio Balzan in Badia Polesine. The selection, curated by the ItalyPost Research Center , featured Wavin Italia , the leading developer of plastic piping systems and air conditioning solutions for the construction and infrastructure sectors.

Wavin Italia's CEO, Erika Pegoraro , took the stage to receive the prestigious award, presenting the company's history and the unique features that have enabled it to build its success during subsequent thematic meetings.

"We are proud to be among the 'best-performing' companies in the Alto e Medio Polesine district," said Erika Pegoraro, speaking at the event. "Even though Wavin Italia is part of an international group with branches around the world, we have always maintained a deep and distinctive connection with this region, which boasts a tradition of industrial excellence."

According to research presented at the event, the Alto e Medio Polesine district, comprising 38 municipalities including, in addition to the provincial capital of Rovigo , towns with a historic industrial tradition such as Occhiobello, Lendinara, and Badia Polesine, is home to 2,197 companies that generated a total turnover of €5.1 billion in 2024. The 100 leading companies identified by ItalyPost—selected based on rigorous economic indicators including net profit, EBITDA, and net profit—alone generated €2.5 billion , contributing to nearly half of the entire area's total revenue.

During the event, Erika Pegoraro offered a strategic insight into how companies can continue to compete successfully in the global market even in scenarios of strong macroeconomic uncertainty.
