Wavin AS+ contributes to the redevelopment of the new Hotel Le Graal in Cortina d'Ampezzo
The transformation of the former Hotel Italia in Cortina d'Ampezzo into the new Hotel Le Graal , a 5-star luxury structure destined to become a point of reference for hospitality in the Dolomite resort, also saw the technological contribution of Wavin Italia , chosen to supply the Wavin AS+ soundproofing exhaust system.
The redevelopment project is part of a broader renewal process underway in Cortina ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympics, with numerous investments aimed at enhancing the area's hospitality offerings. The historic hotel has been completely redesigned by architect Achille Salvagni, who reinterpreted the spaces through a "contemporary Alpine refuge" concept, featuring natural materials, superior comfort, and attention to detail.
Acoustic comfort at the heart of the project
To ensure guests maximum well-being within the structure's 30 rooms, including 12 suites, the project included the installation of the Wavin AS+ soundproofing exhaust system , developed to significantly reduce the noise of the plumbing systems.
The solution features a high-density structure and a special pipe formulation that, combined with Wavin decoupling sleeves, helps limit the transmission of vibrations and structure-borne noise. The system also meets the requirements of the European standard EN 14366 and has passed the tests required by the German standards DIN 4109 and VDI 4100.
Performance, reliability and ease of installation
Among the distinctive features of the new generation of Wavin AS+ is the patented, pre-lubricated blue gasket , designed to facilitate pipe connection without the use of additional lubricants. The system also offers high sealing performance under both pressure and vacuum, as well as particular resistance to corrosion and chemicals.
To support the acoustic design of the intervention, Wavin also made available the Wavin Soundcheck Tool , a digital application that allows you to simulate the acoustic behavior of the system and verify compliance with regulatory requirements through an accurate estimate of noise emissions.
Thanks to this solution, the new Hotel Le Graal will be able to offer guests a comfortable and tranquil stay, in line with the high standards required by contemporary luxury hospitality.
