SH Pod Advanced Rooftop enclosure

Rooftop units (RTUs) are monoblock machines combining the air handling unit, the refrigeration unit, and the heat pump, which is why they require a specific solution. The SH Pod Advanced Rooftop features numerous simplified access points to allow for routine maintenance and easy access to the unit, even for extraordinary maintenance.

The enclosure is composed of a sturdy steel frame integrated with modular, accessible panels, designed to completely surround the unit and drastically reduce noise in all directions. The silencers and soundproofing grilles that comprise it are equipped with 20 mm thick lamellar baffles that minimize pressure drops (less than 10 Pa), ensuring a large free surface area for air to pass through to the heat exchanger coils.

The system can be completed with thin-wall silencers on the supply and return ducts, which reduce noise without affecting the unit's performance. Thanks to patented Slim Hurdle™ technology , all silenced elements maintain low pressure drops, which, combined with the radiation protection provided by the sound-absorbing shell, ensures high efficiency and reduces overall energy consumption.

SH Pod Advanced, the plug & play synergy

Together with RTUs, the SH Pod shell represents the perfect synergy. Designed for quick and easy installation, it adds noise protection even in the most complex applications, when these units are located near high-voltage sources, making the RTU + SH Pod solution a true 360° plug & play solution.

Another significant advantage of the soundproof enclosure is its aesthetic concealment, as it can be painted in any RAL color, making it suitable for use with exposed installations. It also protects the unit from the elements and extreme events such as hail.

SH Pod Advanced Rooftop is the only soundproofing product that can be installed within the required distances from the machine, without modifying its operation, thus allowing significant space savings in the plant areas.
