Galletti's PLN: the new range of chillers, heat pumps, and multipurpose units with total recovery and natural refrigerant R290

Designed to guarantee high performance, energy efficiency and reduced environmental impact, PLN is the new range of air-water units available in cooling only (PLN C), reversible heat pump (PLN H) and multipurpose versions with total recovery (PLN P).

These units cover power ratings between 50 and 150 kW and use natural refrigerant R290 (propane), with a GWP of 3 , among the lowest values on the HVAC market.

PLN, in fact, represents Galletti's concrete response to the challenges of the energy transition and the need to reduce both direct emissions (linked to refrigerant gases) and indirect emissions deriving from electricity production.

The use of R290 refrigerant ensures compliance with the F-GAS regulation and allows for high performance while fully respecting the environment.
Each model integrates new-generation construction solutions and an extremely wide working range , which allows the production of water from -10°C up to 78°C, guaranteeing continuous and stable operation even in the most extreme conditions.

High performance in all weather conditions: constant efficiency from -20°C to +48°C

PLN units are designed to ensure optimal performance in all seasons, thanks to reliable operation even with outside air temperatures up to +48°C or -20°C.

With -20°C outside air, the series maintains its full capacity to produce hot water up to 50°C.

The PLN range also features multi-scroll solutions to maximize efficiency at partial loads. The result is seasonal indices that are among the best in their category , with SCOP up to 4.00 and SEER up to 5.00 .

R290: the natural heart of Galletti's new efficiency

Propane (R290) is a natural refrigerant with a GWP (Global Warming Potential) of 3.

This makes it one of the most promising refrigerants in the air conditioning industry, thanks to its significantly lower environmental impact than synthetic refrigerants. Not only does propane contribute significantly less to the greenhouse effect, but it also has ideal physical properties to meet the growing design requirements of heat pumps.

To ensure maximum safety, the entire range features advanced control logic that automatically intervenes in the event of a leak, ensuring system integrity and operational continuity.

Compactness, integration and versatility: hydronic solutions designed for every system

Another strong point of the PLN range is the wide range of hydraulic accessories, designed to meet installation needs characterised by reduced overall space.

The units can integrate up to two pumps (on/off or modulating) for the PLN C and H versions, and up to four pumps (maximum two modulating) for the PLN P version.

The inertial storage tank can be installed inside the ventilation compartment, while the flow meter in combination with the network analyzer is available as an accessory in both the PLN C and PLN H versions, completing a flexible and ready-to-use configuration.

PLN P: the multipurpose unit with total recovery

With an extended operating range and the ability to produce water up to 78°C, the PLN P is the ideal solution for buildings requiring simultaneous summer and winter heating. This feature optimizes the system's overall energy efficiency, reducing the need for additional systems and ensuring consistent comfort year-round.
