Frost protection for thermal system IDRATERM 500

Foridra IDRATERM 500 is made of propylene glycol (non-toxic), it includes specific neutral
pH corrosion inhibitors for multi-metal (including aluminium), closed-recirculated, hot and/or cold circuits which prevent corrosion typical of water/glycol solutions, in addition to those typical of water.

Usage: may be added to clean circuits, free from organic or inorganic deposits, whether new or restored. The product must be mixed with water (even partially) before being added to the circuit in order to have a correct dilution in the system. Anti-freeze protection will vary depending on the percentage of the product in the water, as indicated in the table on the package. We recommend checking the product concentration in the system using a densimeter or a specific refractometer after the product has been circulating for at least one hour. Under normal working conditions, the inhibitor included in IDRATERM 500 delivers total protection up to 5 years and will maintain stable glycol characteristics. Every year, check how much of the product is left and the level of anti-freeze protection with the KIT IDRATERM P. If necessary, replenish the product and consider adding IDRATERM P100 or P140 for protection against corrosion and/or glycol decomposition.

IDRATERM 500 - 530 - 545 products formulated with a pH between 7 and 8. They include
specific inhibitors for all metals, oxygen and bacteria. This prevents the corrosion and lime scale formation caused by metal oxides and biomasses.

Inhibitors included in IDRATERM 500 - 530 - 545 may be checked with the test KIT IDRATERM P. The product’s level has to be checked annually and topped up if necessary as with a normal system. Adding IDRATERM P100 (for high temperature systems) or IDRATERM P140 (for low temperature systems, 25-40°C) prevents the glycol from breaking down whilst maintaining its antifreeze properties which, in any case, needs to be regularly checked with a refractometer.
