SEP 2010: OVER 20,000 VISITORS

Over 20,000 people visited the 23rd edition of SEP 2010, the International Fair for Environmental Projects closed last Saturday at PadovaFiere.

 “Encouraging numbers that underlines the strenght of the sector notwithstanding the crisis envolving many sectors”-maintains Paolo Coin, PadovaFiere chairman- The sector is healthy and many news have been presented during this year edition. As usual,SEP is concerned not only on emphasizing innovative products aimed at reducing environmental impact, but also at encouraging research thanks to meeting moments among sector experts”.

25% of companies deals with waste: among 600 exhibitors, direct and indirect, about 150 presented products and technologies connected to waste disposal. This confirms the choice by SEP organizers to focus attention on innovation of the waste sector. Among the news of the 23rd  edition: innovative plants taking waste underground thus reducing traditional waste collection problems, computerized mobile eco-isles, also underground, with low-environmental-impact and clean energy power and, last but not least, methane powered vehicles for urban collection.

As far as environmental innovation is concerned there were many innovations in design, building, sale and assistance of ecological equipments, urban hygiene, street and industrial cleaning. Moreover, the latest news on urban design have been presented to show the studies on functionality and environment care for our cities.

Finally, SEP gave space to low-environmental- impact energies and efficient and sustainable sources use. Among its object, indeed, SEP is an environmental education project, aimed at teaching companies and citizens the importance of sustainability.
