New €262 million MASE tender for photovoltaic and thermo-photovoltaic systems in Southern Italy
The new €262 million MASE tender incentivizes photovoltaic and thermo-photovoltaic systems for self-consumption by businesses in Southern Italy, promoting sustainable growth and energy independence.
The Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security (MASE) has launched a new €262 million call for proposals aimed at companies intending to build photovoltaic and thermo-photovoltaic systems in the Southern regions.
An intervention that aims to strengthen the energy autonomy of companies and promote the use of clean energy in industrial, artisanal and production contexts.
Companies of any size, whether individual or in networks, with offices located in Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia and Sicily can participate.
The initiative is part of the National Research, Innovation and Competitiveness Program 2021-2027 , which aims to reduce territorial inequalities and accelerate the green and digital transition of the Italian production system.
Self-consumption and innovation: the key to the transition
The call supports the construction of self-consumption plants , including those equipped with storage systems and digital monitoring technologies, to increase energy efficiency and resource management capacity.
The systems can be installed on industrial roofs, parking lots, or production areas, helping to reduce electricity costs and CO₂ emissions.
The aim is to promote an energy model in which companies become active producers of renewable energy , reducing dependence on the grid and improving competitiveness through integrated and sustainable solutions.
Opportunities for the technical and professional sector
For designers, installers and operators in the HVAC/R sector , this call represents a new opportunity to valorize skills and technologies.
The integration of photovoltaic, thermo-photovoltaic, and efficient air conditioning or refrigeration systems can generate significant energy synergies, with a direct return in terms of savings and sustainability.
Southern Italy thus confirms its position as a strategic hub for the development of renewables, with investments that create value along the entire technical chain, from engineering to installation to maintenance.
A boost to competitiveness and sustainability
With this measure, MASE intends to strengthen the role of renewable energy in the productive fabric of Southern Italy , making the region more resilient, efficient and in line with European decarbonisation objectives.
An opportunity for companies to invest in their energy independence, reduce operating expenses, and actively contribute to the path toward a greener and more responsible economy.
