Google in Renewable energies: new wind farm for 200 million Dollars in Texas
Google, continues to invest in green energy. In Texas will be realized a wind farm by 200 million dollars with turbines that will generate 161 megawatts of energy, that are necessary to the energy need of about 60 thousand families every year.

Google, the search engine most used in the world, continues to invest in renewable energy.
In Oldham County, Texas, about 60 miles from Amarillo, will be realized the Spinning Spur Wind Project, a wind farm by 200 million dollars with turbines that will generate 161 megawatts of energy, that are necessary to the energy need of about 60 thousand families every year.
Renewable Energy EDF will install 70 Siemens 2.3 MW wind turbines: the energy produced by the farm will then be sold to SPS and distributed in Texas and New Mexico.
Google designed another farm, Atlantic Wind Connection, while the Ivanpah Project is almost completed and it will be used for the production of solar energy. The investment by Google in green economy reach 1,2 billion dollars, with 11 initiated projects and 2GW produced power, enough to satisfy about 500 thousand houses for a year.
In 2011, Google obtained 30% of its needs by renewable sources but the ambition is to get a 100% of self-sustainability energy, focusing also on innovative servers.
The race to renewable energies characterizes two giants like Google and Apple: the project just activated in Texas by the Californian giant responds to the patent presented by Apple a few weeks ago about a new system that produces thermal energy from wind turbines.
