Today's HVAC design needs require solutions capable of ensuring high performance, operational continuity, and application flexibility. This is where Galletti's PLN comes in, a range of air-to-water units developed to offer a concrete balance between energy efficiency and system adaptability.

The project is based on the use of R290 refrigerant (GWP 3), a technical choice that allows the range to comply with the most up-to-date regulatory requirements while maintaining high performance standards.

 

C, H and P configurations: how PLN adapts to different system layouts

PLN is available in cooling-only, reversible heat pump, and multipurpose total recovery versions , thus offering a concrete solution to even complex system configurations. The units cover a power range from 50 to 150 kW and are distinguished by a particularly wide operating range.

The ability to produce water up to 78°C , combined with guaranteed operation even with outside air temperatures as low as -20°C, makes these solutions suitable for contexts where operational continuity and reliability are essential. Even in harsh climates, it is possible to maintain hot water production up to 50°C.

 

High seasonal efficiency thanks to optimised management of partial loads

One of the most significant aspects concerns partial load behavior, which is increasingly crucial in evaluating a system's actual performance. Galletti's multi-scroll solutions allow for more precise power modulation, improving efficiency under the most frequent operating conditions.

This translates into competitive seasonal values, with SCOP up to 4.00 and SEER up to 5.00 , contributing concretely to the optimisation of consumption and operating costs.

 

Compact design and simplified integration into hydronic systems

PLN was also designed to simplify system integration , especially when available space is limited. The units can integrate hydraulic components directly on board without increasing overall dimensions, maintaining a high level of design flexibility.

The ability to configure pumps, inertial storage, and monitoring accessories allows the machine to be adapted to different application needs, while advanced control ensures continuous management of operating parameters and dedicated safety procedures, a particularly important aspect for the use of A3 refrigerants such as R290.
