THE BEST ACOUSTIC AND THERMIC WELL-BEING
“Well-being” in plant designing recalls the concept of “thermal comfort”.
Thermal comfort is defined thermal hygrometrical conditions allowing pleasant occupation of an environment (building or any enclosure) both in winter and summertime.
Fantoni Spa, a company from Udine, Italy, went beyond this concept.
According to Fantoni, indeed, well-being is not only connected to temperature and humidity, but also to acoustic factors.
The company developed a special panel to build false ceilings: Climacustic, ideal for radiant conditioning.
The panel is crossed by small piping containing hot or cold water, depending if the aim is heating or cooling. The visible part of the panel includes special holes or slots with excellent sound absorbing characteristics (Helmholtz resonance).
The panel, unique in its characteristics, acts both on thermal and acoustic well-being.
The opportunity to see Climacustic in detail is 28/01/10, when Fantoni, together with Aicarr, promote a learning meeting.
To take part for free to the meeting you have to register by the 25th of January on Aircarr web site.
