For more then 10 years Tessari, leader in manufacturing cogenerators for thermic and electric energy production, has been developing and experimenting in diesel cycle engines which run on renewable energy sources such as bio-diesel and vegetable oil.
Bio-diesel fuels are oxygenated ester product based, and derived from a variety of renewable resources such as vegetable oils, animal fat and chicken oil.
Their properties are similar to traditional diesel fuel and opposite to petrol and gas. As a result they are suitable for injection in compression engines.The most widespread bio-diesel in Europe is derived from rape oil.
