SAVING ASSETS: NEW GENERATION FAIL-SAFE ACTUATORS FROM BELIMO
Among the new solutions and the innovative products presented by Belimo during MCE 2010, we can find the new powerful actuators with emergency function SF and GMK. Saving Assets is the key-benefit of this product range, because they are based on a proven and innovative technology ensuring that HVAC-systems are efficiently protected from injurious events and energy losses.
The legendary spring return actuators from Belimo ensure that dampers and valves reliably move into the pre-defined emergency position even in the event of a power failure. The new SF and GMK actuators are now expanding the range of these "Fail-Safe" products up to a torque of 40 Nm, leading the way for new innovative applications.
Environmental and climate conditions or voltage interruptions can cause frost damage, contamination, or malfunction of the HVAC-system. This creates inconvenience and hampers work processes in sensitive areas resulting in expensive downtimes. The new GMK actuator is featured by its maintenance-free Super-Caps, which supply the devices with sufficient power to bridge voltage interruptions for up to 10 seconds and move the dampers accurately into the predefined power-off position.
Belimo tested its actuators under the toughest conditions. Maximum operational reliability is assured by the adjustable running times and power-off positions, high positioning accuracy, very short SuperCap charging times and high holding torque.
Furthermore, the new actuators from Belimo are easy to install and to integrate into Building-Management-Systems.
With the SF and GMK actuators power consumption is also significantly reduced in standby and holdover mode by a new energy-saving holdover function.
