Refrigera 2025: The inaugural conference begins
The new edition of Refrigera , the international trade fair dedicated to industrial, commercial, and logistics refrigeration, freezing technologies, and cryogenics, officially opens with a high-profile inaugural conference.
The meeting, entitled “ Sustainability: refrigeration at the centre ”, will be held on Wednesday 5 November at 11 am, in the Lord Kelvin Room (Hall 30).
The speakers
The event will feature some leading figures in the industrial and scientific landscape:
- Marco Nocivelli, Vice President of Confindustria and CEO of Epta
- Mario Tozzi, CNR researcher and science communicator
- Maurizio Martina, Deputy Director of FAO Italy and former Minister of Agricultural Policies
- The debate will be moderated by Marco Oldrati, operations director of Assofrigoristi.
The discussion will focus on the strategic role of the refrigeration supply chain in the energy and ecological transition, with a focus on efficiency, sustainability, and responsible resource management.
A program full of insights
The 2025 edition of Refrigera offers approximately 50 conference sessions, with technical contributions on:
- cold chain in large-scale retail trade
- alternative refrigerants
- cryogenics and ultracold
- CO₂ and propane supply chains
- Insulating materials and solutions for process cooling in the pharmaceutical and chemical-plastic industries
PR Planet Refrigeration Awards
The first edition of the PR Planet Refrigeration Awards , the prize dedicated to excellence in commercial and industrial refrigeration, will be held on Thursday 6 November at 12.45pm (Lord Kelvin Hall).
