Refrigera 2025: a growing edition that confirms the central role of refrigeration in the energy transition.
The 2025 edition of Refrigera , held from 5 to 7 November at BolognaFiere, closed with very positive results , confirming the event's role as a reference point for the industrial and commercial refrigeration supply chain.
The fair recorded a 12% increase in visitors compared to 2023 , with a significant presence of qualified operators from across the HVAC/R chain.
Exhibitors from 25 countries participated in the event, demonstrating the growing interest in technologies and solutions for energy efficiency, safety, and sustainable refrigeration management. Among the most frequently represented professionals were installers, maintenance technicians, designers, purchasing managers, company management, and research and development specialists.
The international presence of visitors was also particularly significant: 10.5% came from 52 countries, with the European Union as the most represented area, followed by non-EU Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and the Americas.
Ample space for training and updating
The 2025 edition featured 50 conferences, with 80 speakers, including international speakers.
Among the most followed topics:
- sustainability and the role of refrigeration in the energy transition ;
- efficiency and environmental safety in large-scale retail trade;
- data center thermal management;
- natural refrigerants and new CO₂, propane and ammonia supply chains;
- Evolution of F-gas regulations and impacts on new and existing plants.
An evolving demonstration
Refrigera 2025 took place simultaneously with Applitech 2025 , dedicated to the household appliances and consumer electronics industry, for a total of 19,000 m² gross and over 300 exhibitors.
The fair will continue to grow in the coming years: according to market estimates, industrial refrigeration will grow from 23 billion dollars (2024) to over 44 billion by 2037, with an annual growth rate of 5.1%.
The next event has already been scheduled: 10–12 November 2027, once again at BolognaFiere .
