NEW REFRIGERANTS

From 01/01/10 R22 is no more in the market. You can find it only as recycled product.
R22 is for sure the most used refrigerant in conditioning and refrigeration. A huge problem for companies is, therefore, how to keep these new plants “alive”.
Regenerated R22 will be more expensive, not only for small quantities of the product, but also for necessary procedures to recycle it.
That is why companies like Dupont and Solvay, for example, started time ago testing a substitute refrigerant for R22 with ODP=0 and compatible with average lubricants.
Dupont created ISOCEON®, while Solkane 22L/M.
Main advantages are:
-Easy retrofit
-Refrigerating power is similar to that of R22
-No circuit reclaiming
-No oil substitution
-No refrigeration components substitution
Once again, unfortunately, regulations instead of the market showed the right way.
