Luna and Nuvola Century: the new generation of Baxi condensing boilers for always efficient comfort

On the occasion of its 100 years of history, Baxi renews its proposal in the segment of wall-mounted condensing boilers with the Luna and Nuvola Century ranges, a line designed to respond to different system needs with high performance and maximum reliability.

The range consists of 8 models:

• 3 heating only models (Luna Century 1.35, 1.28, 1.24);
• 3 combined models for the instantaneous production of domestic hot water (Luna Century 35, 30, 26);
• 2 models with integrated storage (Nuvola Century 35, 26) equipped with a 45 litre stainless steel boiler.

The boilers are already set up to operate with gas mixtures containing up to 20% hydrogen, in line with the prospects of decarbonisation of energy systems. Thanks to the SCB-17B accessory, it is possible to configure the integration in mixed systems, manage the combination with solar thermal and cover advanced applications such as swimming pool heating.

Seasonal efficiency at the highest levels

Combined with the Baxi Mago A+ kit (modulating chronothermostat with integrated Wi-Fi and external probe), the Century range reaches an A+ energy class with efficiency of up to 98%.

The high construction quality is guaranteed by robust components, such as the hydraulic group in corrosion-resistant brass and the casing painted also internally. The technological heart is represented by the innovative self-cleaning single-tube heat exchanger in stainless steel , designed with large water passage sections to maximize heat exchange and overall efficiency.

The regulation system integrates a fully modulating electronic pump with a permanent magnet motor , which allows the power supplied to be precisely adjusted to the actual needs of the building. The extended modulation range (up to 1:10) reduces the number of on and off cycles, ensuring energy savings and silent operation.

Gas Adaptive Control (GAC) technology dynamically adjusts combustion to optimise flame quality and keep consumption and emissions under control.

Automatic system loading with Smart-fill system

Another distinctive element of the Century range is the integration of the Smart-fill system, which automatically and safely manages the loading of the system. In the event of a drop in pressure, the system activates the filling valve until the optimal pressure is restored, then blocks the supply. The system also avoids the risk of overfilling.

For those who use the Baxi Mago chronothermostat, it is possible to check the pressure and manage the loading even remotely via the My Baxi app.

Acoustic comfort and domestic hot water

The new Century boilers ensure high thermal and acoustic comfort. The C-shaped structure and advanced insulation reduce noise to very low levels (49 dB(A) for the Luna/Nuvola Century 26 models).

The management of the domestic water temperature is entrusted to 3 dedicated functions (Comfort, Saving and Boost), which allow you to easily set the desired comfort profile.

Baxi Space: intelligent system management

The Baxi Space electronic platform allows you to flexibly configure and integrate different system components, optimising the overall functioning of the system:

• mixed zone systems (high and low temperature) or for swimming pool heating with SCB-17B card;
• integration with Baxi solar thermal systems ;
• heat pump management via Hybrid Connection SCB-01 module;
• support for Baxi Mago chronothermostats and external probes, with wired or wireless management.

The Bus communication protocol facilitates integration between the different elements of the system, ensuring advanced and optimized management.

Installation flexibility and predisposition for hybrid systems

Among the features that simplify installation and adaptation to the most diverse system situations:

• predisposition for factory made hybrid systems ;
• Ø80 split exhaust supplied as standard;
• possibility of connection to collective pressurized flues;
• compatibility with Ø50 exhaust ducts, rigid or flexible, for the renovation of existing flues.

The boilers are supplied for methane operation but can be converted to LPG or propane air without the need for an additional kit.
