IBBC 2026 – International Conference on Bioenergy & Bioeconomy is a leading international event for the global bioenergy and bioeconomy community.
Building on the success of the first edition (IBBC 2025 in Lisbon), this second edition in Seville will delve into the topic of commercialisation of bio-based solutions , with a particular focus on first-of-a-kind (FOAK) projects and their market diffusion.
Each year, IBBC brings together leading figures from academia, industry, and government to discuss how bioenergy and the bioeconomy can contribute to energy security, competitiveness, and the concrete fight against climate change.
In 2026, particular attention will be paid to the integration of sustainable biomass, advanced biorefineries, energy systems, hydrogen and Power-to-X technologies , in addition to territorial development strategies.
