INCENTIVES FOR RENEWABLE ENERGIES
Finally also Italy created a 22 million euros fund to finance research in the electric energy sector, in particular renewable sources.
The contribution was allocated by the General Administration for Nuclear Energy, Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency of the Department of Economic Development.
What everybody hopes is that research results will be used to develop new industrial innovative services.
82 projects were presented.
The 82 proposals presented by companies, research centres and universities have been examined in details also by the Regulation authority for electric energy (CCSE). The request for proposals aimed at sorting research actions to develop not only renewable sources but also transmission and distribution networks and technological innovation in the electric system.
26 projects reached the “final”.
The list was approved by a Directorial Decree assigning 22 million euros to the 26 best selected projects, the funding of which will produce, as the Department of Economic Development predicts, investments for about 70 million euros.
