In 2018 Refrigerant market will be 15.7 billion worth

A new report predict China e India will be half the global share, fast-growing of natural gas.
The report “Refrigerant Market - Hydro Chlorofluorocarbons (HCFC), Hydro fluorocarbon (HFC), Hydrocarbon (HC), Inorganic (Ammonia, Carbon dioxide) - Trends & Forecasts to 2018”, published by the U.S. research firm MarketsandMarkets, portrayed the situation of refrigerants’ market, on a global scale, with projections to 2018, which will see an increase of the refrigerants’ demand to 6.9% passing from 10.5 billion dollars in 2012 to 15.7 billion planned for 2018.

The Demand for HCFC was very high in the past, but after the approval of the Montreal Protocol, the demand was significantly reduced, in favor of an increase of HFC. However, even the use of HFC is starting to be regulated with increasingly stringent regulations, in particular in the EU, because of their high GWP (Global Warming Potential), there is a slow change of request in favor of natural refrigerants, which will see a substantial growth in the coming years. Among these, the most commonly used are: ammonia, hydrocarbons (HC), propane and Isobutene, that have seen, in recent years, an increase in use and they are designed to rise in the future.

It is expected, therefore, that even the most important producers of HVAC/R systems, will update their offer by introducing suitable products to operate with this type of refrigerants.

From a geographical point of view, even in this sector, China and India are identified as growth engines: in that area the development of the commercial and industrial sector will bring to an increase in the demand for air conditioning systems and refrigeration.
