GEOTHERMY SPEEDS UP IN LOMBARDY

Last 10th of February Lombardy Regional Parliament discussed and approved the Regional Regulation for geothermal probes installation.
The regulation specifies what is said in article nr 10 of Regional Law nr 24 of 11th December 2006 “Rules for preventions and reductions of emissions in the atmosphere to protect environment and health”. It simplifies and makes it less bureaucratic the installation of geothermal probes not requiring underground water drawing, the so called closed circuit probes.
Plants are different depending on depth and dimensions in terms of Kw.
What is going to be useful is the availability on internet of a user-friendly instrument reducing communication procedures and allowing, at the same time, real time monitoring technology diffusion on the entire regional territory.
To install geothermal probes not deeper than 150 metres from land surface and horizontal geothermal probes it will be sufficient to register the plant in the computerized data base called Geothermal Probes Register (RSG), available on internet from the day the Regulation comes into force.
The Regulation becomes effective from the publication on the BURL (Official Bulletin of Lombardy Region) and, at the same time, the Register will be active, too.
