GEOTHERM EXPO 2010, THE GEOTHERMAL ENERGY EXHIBITION IN FERRARA FROM 21 TO 23 SEPTEMBER

Ferrara will host the second edition of GeoTherm Expo - Geothermal Energy Exhibition, the first Italian event specifically dedicated to geothermal energy systems, technologies and services, with particular emphasis on medium- and low-temperature uses, with the collaboration of UGI (Unione Geotermica Italiana – Italian Geothermal Union) and of the most important associations.
After the first Edition of 2009, GeoThermExpo 2010 will feature a renewed and larger exhibition area, displaying latest-generation technologies, a rich international conference program, technical sessions, meetings and events.

Speaking of green economy and sustainable development means first of all talking about unused resources and geothermal resources. After 2009, GeoThermExpo comes back to Ferrara, the first Italian expo specially dedicated to geothermal energy systems, technologies and services, with particular emphasis on medium- and low-temperature uses.

GeoThermExpo 2009 was attended by about 40 exhibitors from major geothermal energy companies and by over 1,000 visitors. Its program, prepared by a Scientific Committee, was particularly dense: one International Congress with six Sessions and ten Technical Meetings organized by the exhibitors.
    
GeoThermExpo 2010, that will take place in Ferrara Exhibition and Conference Centre from 21 to 23 September 2010, with the collaboration of UGI (Unione Geotermica Italiana – Italian Geothermal Union) and of the most important associations, will feature a renewed and larger exhibition area, displaying latest-generation technologies, a rich international conference program, technical sessions, meetings and events.

The Official International Congress will be developed by a Scientific and Honors Committees, and it will include rounde tables with the ministerial coordination.
The collateral special programme will include an interregional forum about geothermal energy, training workshops for technicians and draftmens, and technical meetings organized by the exhibitors.

Exhibitors will be companies spanning all sectors of geothermal energy. The event will be attended by Institutions and leading companies of the sector, which will discuss the challenges and opportunities of geothermal sector and will promote business partnerships.

The main sectors will be characterization of geothermal resources and monitoring of their utilization; power generation and district heating from medium-temperature geothermal resources; heat pumps and heat exchangers for cooling & heating and district heating from low-temperature geothermal resources; hydrothermalism and thermal balneotherapy.
