FIMER brings together supply chains and institutions for the development of Renewable Energy Communities

On July 7, 2026, an institutional meeting was held at the FIMER–MA Solar headquarters in Terranuova Bracciolini (AR) dedicated to the role of Made in Italy in photovoltaics and the development of Renewable Energy Communities (CERs) . The event was attended by industry representatives, distributors, installers, and institutions, creating a direct dialogue between all stakeholders in the supply chain to promote more efficient and sustainable energy models.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss how to strengthen the national photovoltaic supply chain by leveraging Italian expertise and manufacturing capabilities. FIMER, with its experience in the design and production of photovoltaic inverters, and 3SUN, an Italian manufacturer of high-tech cells and modules, highlighted how it is already possible to provide the market with a supply chain capable of concretely supporting the development of CERs.

Role of institutions and collaboration within the supply chain

The contribution of the institutions was crucial. Silvia Chiassai Martini, Mayor of Montevarchi and President of the CER Italia Foundation, emphasized the importance of developing energy communities capable of combining environmental transition and industrial growth , promoting Made in Italy products. The discussions also highlighted the shared desire of distributors and installers to support residents and businesses in achieving more efficient and safe energy solutions.

Among the topics discussed was cybersecurity , which is now essential to guarantee the safety of energy infrastructures and the protection of plant data.

The meeting confirmed the need to create a stable network between industry, institutions, distributors, and installers, fostering ongoing dialogue to adopt policies that enhance Italian and European industrial expertise.

The Terranuova Bracciolini event thus represents the first step in a process aimed at transforming the dialogue between all stakeholders in the supply chain into concrete projects, placing photovoltaics, technological innovation, and Made in Italy at the center of the debate for an increasingly sustainable, safe, and competitive energy transition.
