FIMER and AMP: agreement to develop distributed storage systems in the UK

FIMER announces a new partnership with AMP to support the deployment of distributed storage systems in the UK, aiming to improve grid flexibility and strengthen local infrastructure .

The agreement is part of a broader program aimed at the energy transition, in which storage solutions play an increasingly strategic role in efficient energy management.

 

Battery Box: Distributed storage for more resilient grids

The collaboration includes support for AMP's Battery Box proposal, a distributed energy storage system designed to be installed in suitable sites and connected directly to local grids.

The goal is to bring flexible storage solutions to the points of the network where they can generate the greatest impact, helping to:

  • increase the flexibility of the electricity grid
  • improve the resilience of local infrastructure
  • support the spread of renewable energy

AMP will be responsible for site development, system installation, and commissioning, serving as the primary contact for landowners and organizations involved in the project.

 

FIMER's technological contribution

As part of the agreement, FIMER will supply 400 units of its PVX-215 modular storage system , designed for commercial and industrial applications.

The system offers a capacity between 107 and 215 kWh and is characterised by:

  • high modularity and scalability
  • outdoor installation thanks to the IP55 protection rating
  • operation in a wide temperature range (-30°C / +55°C)

Features that make it suitable for diversified operating contexts and continuously evolving energy needs.

 

A step towards the energy transition

The partnership represents the first step in a broader collaboration between the two companies, aimed at promoting distributed storage systems as a key element for intelligent energy management.

With this agreement, FIMER strengthens its position in the energy storage sector, contributing to the development of solutions capable of supporting a concrete and sustainable energy transition.
