Embraco expands high efficiency product offerings in Europe

Embraco, world leader in the refrigeration compressor market, inaugurated last June 3rd the EM line in its Slovakia plant, starting  to assemble compressors of third generation for home cooling solutions. The EM3 compressor is compact and with high energy efficiency, capable to comply with new energy regulations in the European community.

According to Embraco’s global president, João Carlos Brega, this move “will bring more efficiency and agility to meet demand in Europe, especially in the high season”. From now on, all EM compressor demand for this market will be supplied from Slovakia and Italy, without the need of importing products from sites of other continents.

The investment in Eastern Europe is part of the global strategy of the company, based in Brazil and with 10,000 employees worldwide, to be closer to customers and promote a more balanced global manufacturing capability. The company is present with factories in Brazil, China, Italy, Slovakia, and by the end of the year, also in Mexico.
