Danfoss integrates screw compressors into its portfolio through the strategic acquisition of Palladio Compressors

Complete expansion of the compressor range

In line with the Danfoss LEAP 2030 strategy, the acquisition of Palladio Compressors marks a significant step in expanding the Danfoss compressor portfolio , which today covers applications ranging from residential comfort to cooling, heating, and large-scale process refrigeration. Over the past two years, Danfoss and Palladio have been working closely to explore technological synergies, particularly in the field of high-temperature heat pumps. The integration of Palladio screw compressors with existing Danfoss technologies will enable highly competitive and advanced solutions for high-temperature applications.

The Palladio range introduces next-generation screw technology, expanding the company's offering of advanced, standalone screw compressors. With this acquisition, Danfoss is able to support its customers in developing new markets with compressors qualified for the use of natural and low-GWP refrigerants. Screw technology is particularly suitable for medium-energy applications, a segment where factors such as size, efficiency, and payback time play a decisive role in compressor selection. With the introduction of screw solutions, Danfoss is expanding its ability to address needs not covered by the market.

The new “Danfoss Screw” range will benefit from significant investments in research and development, production capacity, and sales force, further strengthening the company's presence on the market and ensuring increasingly robust and innovative solutions for its customers.

Effective October 1, 2025, Palladio Compressors will become part of the Danfoss Commercial Compressors division. This acquisition is part of Danfoss's strategy to expand and strengthen its market presence. To support plant growth and foster innovation, Danfoss will invest in expanding its team, hiring new R&D specialists, engineers, and qualified technicians.
