Vahterus Oy is a company located in South West Finland that manufactures welded plate heat exchangers. Mauri Kontu, Managing Director, founded the company in the village of Vahterus, Kalanti, in 1990 to promote local entrepreneurship.
The business was started with three employees and has experienced strong growth over the years. Vahterus Oy is now one of the leading manufacturers of welded plate heat exchangers in the world. At present, our company has over 140 employees, and after the latest expansions, the production facilities cover more than 8,000 square metres.
Vahterus Oy focuses on product development by making continuous investments. Technology developed by our company is utilised worldwide, mainly in the processing and chemical industry, refrigeration and energy industry. Our products are used in over 50 countries, and the share of export is over 90% of the total sales.
