Elbi began as a manufacturer of oil-fired boilers and heaters before specializing in the production of tanks for the thermal-hydraulic industry.

Founded in 1965, Elbi is a producer of tanks for the thermal-hydraulic industry. The range of products offered is very broad and covers several application fields: Heating, Solar, Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, and Construction.
The product categories include: membrane autoclaves for domestic hot water, multifunctional tanks, expansion tanks for heating, tanks for solar systems, polyethylene tanks for both underground and aboveground use, wastewater treatment systems, rainwater harvesting systems, galvanized tanks, vitrified boilers, combined thermal accumulators, hot water storage tanks, heating accumulators, and ASME tanks.

Today, Elbi's main headquarters is in Limena (PD), where all catalog products are designed and manufactured. The Modugno (BA) plant is dedicated to the production of some rotational-molded polyethylene items and to marketing in the southern territory. The commercial activity is supported by a network of agencies and depots throughout the area to ensure optimal product distribution. Elbi is also present in the United States through its subsidiary based in Houston, Texas.
