Assotermica: Stefano Casandrini appointed new association manager
Assotermica announces the appointment of Stefano Casandrini as its new Association Director. Casandrini succeeds Federico Musazzi, who led the association for over ten years, overseeing its growth and strengthening its institutional role during a period of profound transformation in the sector.
A graduate in electronic and automatic engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan, Stefano Casandrini has over thirty years of professional experience in the household appliance and HVAC sectors . His career path is closely linked to the world of associations and regulations : after a stint in Brussels, he closely followed the development of the first European regulations regarding energy efficiency, safety, and consumer protection. Throughout his career, he has held senior roles in consulting, strategic marketing, and product development, including strategic marketing director of a leading member company and vice president of Assotermica.
Among the most significant contributions of his association's work is his participation in the development of important incentive tools for the sector, such as the Conto Termico (Thermal Account) and the 110% Superbonus, which have significantly impacted the evolution of the heating and building comfort market.
In his new role, Casandrini will be responsible for ensuring the continuity of the association's work, strengthening its visibility with institutions and regulatory bodies, and consolidating a supply chain vision that leverages the sector's technological excellence, including through dialogue with energy suppliers.
Among the upcoming activities on the agenda, Assotermica confirms its presence at MCE 2026 , at the institutional stand of Anima Confindustria, with a series of initiatives dedicated to the themes of heating and comfort in buildings.
Assotermica President Giuseppe Lorubio expressed the association's thanks to Federico Musazzi for his work and wished Stefano Casandrini all the best in his new role, confident that his experience and understanding of the industry's challenges will help guide the association toward new goals.
