The promoters of the 2nd International Ideas Competition for innovative renewable-energy projects in small islands and, for the first time, in marine protected areas of Italy have published the call for entries. The competition makes part of a three-year Memorandum of Understanding signed between Gestore dei Servizi Energetici, Ministero per i Beni e le Attività Culturali, Ministero dell’Ambiente e della Tutela del Territorio e del Mare, MAREVIVO, CITERA (Centro di Ricerca Interdisciplinare Territorio Edilizia Restauro Ambiente – Università di Roma La Sapienza) and ENEA (Agenzia nazionale per le nuove tecnologie, l’energia e lo sviluppo economico sostenibile).
The international competition, open to different categories of entrants, is intended to stimulate the design of devices or plants of different size and capacity, which optimise the use of natural energy resources and reconcile local development needs with enhancement of the landscape heritage.
