100 GW Solar PV Installed Worldwide

The new EPIA's report confirms an increase in the installed PV capacity of 30 GW. Big growth in China, USA e Japan.
The PV exceeds 100 GW installed worldwide: the data emerges from the new report of EPIA, the European Photovoltaic Industry Association, according to which CO2 emissions decreased by 53 million in 2012.

The enthusiastic results, which saw an increase in the installed capacity of 30 GW, confirms that the photovoltaic technology is a market that can grow even more, despite the global economic crisis.

Europe has always been the photovoltaic market leader, but not this year: 23 GW were installed in 2011, while in 2012 only 17 GW. Europe’s first country is Germany (7.6 GW), followed by Italy (3.3 GW) and France (1.2 GW). The report of Epia confirms the growth of PV markets such as China (3.5 GW), the U.S.A. (3.2 GW) and Japan (2.5 GW).

The report will be published in a few months.
